I Was Found Guilty: Can I Appeal?

I Was Found Guilty: Can I Appeal?

Yes, in certain cases. An appeal allows you to challenge the judge’s decision where the judge made an error of law or a palpable error of fact. It is not a new trial: you must show that the decision is unreasonable.

IMPORTANT: the notice of appeal must be filed within 30 days of the judgment. Contact us quickly so that our lawyers can act within this short time limit.

If you were found guilty in your absence, without having had the opportunity to defend yourself, you should instead apply for a revocation of judgment.
